Brittany Fan is a painter, photographer, illustrator, and designer based in Charlottesville, Virginia. She holds an interdisciplinary degree in studio art, art history, and arts administration from the University of Virginia, where she first began to investigate the intersection of the arts and community, exploring the significance and potential impact that creative practices can have in forming the maker, the viewer, as well as society at large.

Her visual arts practice spans a wide range of mediums and subject matters, but she most often finds inspiration in the natural world and in the themes of hope, renewal, storytelling, and human connection. Her various disciplines converge with the common thread of capturing and amplifying stories, with the belief that storytelling and meaning-making are crucial to our understanding of and experience of the world in all its beauty and brokenness.
